AURELIA
 The
Aurelia location of the First Cooperative Association was formed
on February 1, 1907, as the Farmers Elevator Company. It was
reorganized as the Farmers Cooperative Company in February of
1937. On March 1, 1997, Farmers Cooperative Company became a
part of the First Cooperative Association.
The Aurelia location has eleven full time employees.
Services and products
offered at Aurelia are:
Feed
Liquid protein storage
and delivery are also big part of our feed business.
Agronomy
Dry blend plant with
storage capacity of 2100 ton. Sales Liquid28% with storage
of 90 ton. Farm chemicals along with custom application. Equipment
consists of 1 - Stomper used for fertilizer and lime spreading,
1- Rowgator, 1- Air Max, 1-Dempster. Seed corn and soybean
seed, along with grass seed are also sold. NH3 and equipment
along with storage of 90 ton.
Grain
Total storage capacity
is 3.491 million bushels. Drying capacity of 3,000 bushel
per hour. Grain receiving has exceeded 148,000 bushel of farmer
grain in one day. 50 car load out facilities with average
load out time of eight hours. Many building projects have
occurred over the years, which include the West annex to the
Whitney house in 1969, the East annex in 1973 and East elevator
complex in 1979. Office was built I 1975. Feedmill was built
in 1958 and remodeled in 1978 and 1990. In 1997 a new mixer
surge hopper were installed. In 1995 the super flat storage
building with one million bushel capacity was built. In 1996,
the East house receiving was updated and in 1997-98 work was
done in the West complex.
Petroleum
Aurelia has a cardtrol
system and also is the petroleum bulk plant for the Central
Region. Bulk fuel plants in Alta, Aurelia, and Schaller were
closed this past year to combine to one fully modernized and
environmentally safe location in Aurelia. This plant was put
into service in the fall of 2000. Capacities of the new facility
are Diesel at 220,000, Gasohol at 30,000, Unleaded at 60,000,
and Kerosene at 10,000. Packaged petroleum products are also
available at the Aurelia location
